Celebrity photographer and singer, TY Bello welcomed a set of twin boys in October 2014 after waiting for 9 years. In the latest edition of Genevieve Magazine, which she covers with her twin boys, she has opened up on her struggles with Endometriosis, dealing with pressures from friends and family to get pregnant, the rumors that she didn't carry her pregnancy herself and the birth of her twin babies.

"My journey to pregnancy was a very intense one. I had just been through the toughest nine years of trying to get pregnant, being confident that it would be a breeze since I had always known that I would make a great mother. Millen Magese Speaks On Living with Endometriosis and Retrieving Her Eggs Against Infertility

Posted in: , , , ,

Millen Magese lives with endometriosis and she is no more afraid to say it out loud. Diagnosed 10 years ago, the 34-year-old Tanzanian model finally went public with her condition last March on the World Endometriosis Month.

She tells Radiant Health in their latest edition about living with endometriosis, being silenced by the taboo and stigma that comes with difficult health challenges, and finally finding her voice with the example of actress Rita Dominic.

Millen has had several miscarriages, had her ovary pack up, lost some of her fallopian tube, and in February, she faced her fears and underwent an IVF cycle so that some of her still surviving eggs could be retrieved and saved, a chance for her to have biological children in the future.

Though she knows the magnitude of speaking out about health conditions to do with sex or infertility, Millen Magese is adamant about the need to raise awareness, even if it is just to help one other woman.

A New Blog on Endometriosis Discuss Low Libido Challenge For Women Diagnosed With Endometriosis

Posted in: , ,

Endometriosis, characterized by painful periods, is a common cause of several gynecological conditions in women who suffer it. Apart of Nike Oshinowo who has spoken out about her endometriosis and infertility, not many other Nigerian women, celebrity or otherwise have taken up the campaign to inform and educate others on the experience of endometriosis and options available to those who suffer it. I was happy to discover this new blog by a Nigerian in the UK on the subject.
